About Me
I love travelling. The different culture, lifestyle,
food and even shopping in the different countries
are a sight to marvel and delight myself in. Before
I go on and on about travelling in the different countries,
I better introduce myself.
Male, chinese, tall, slim and attached (I have to
add this in to make my baby happy.. :p). I'm embarking
on a traveling trip to europe for a period of 4 in
a half months. Actually, its not really a traveling
trip as officially, I am in europe on an exchange
program. The place chosen is Universiteit Maastricht,
The Netherlands.
Before I actually arrived at europe, the procedures
required is tideous and straining. The visa to Netherlands
itself took months even though I was on entitled to
an "accelerated visa" as I was there to
study. Nevertheless, the visa is of utmost importance
as it allows travel between many countries in the
European union. In addition to the visa, there is
the residence permit (which can only be applied when
you are starting school), travel insurance (absolute
necessity), flight arrangements, baggage packing and
even plans for trips around europe which provided
plenty of headaches before the final setting off for
Maastricht.
Below are some pictures taken at the airport when
I was flying off at Changi Airport on 13th August.
I think I will miss my family, girlfriend and friends.
However, its only for a few months and I am sure I'll
be back before they know it. There was plenty of reminders
and naggings as if I was going away for years. I will
be back soon with plenty of travel tales and having
completed my dream journey to europe.
