Barcelona Airport
Barcelona International Airport is 14km southwest
of the city centre at El Prat de Llobregat and is
a major transport hub. There are flights to and fro
various cities around Europe and the rest of the world.
There are 3 terminals at the airport and it is wise
to find out which terminal you are boarding your plane
at beforehand even though the terminals are within
walking distance.
It costs around 20 Euros for a taxi trip to Barcelona
International Airport from the city center. Cheaper
alternatives include taking the train R10 from the
train stations Sants or Estacio de Franca or taking
a bus Aerobus A1 which goes to and fro Placa Catalunya
and the airport. Expect to pay less than 5 Euros.
The trips by the train takes about half an hour while
the trip by the bus takes about 40 mins.
There are 2 other budget airports which cater to
budget carriers. These carriers advertise the flights
as flying to Barcelona but the airports are some way
off Barcelona. The airports include the Barcelona-Girona
Airport and the Barcelona-Reus Airport. Find out more

Barcelona-Girona Airport is about 100 km away from
Barcelona city center and is actually nearer the Catalonia
city of Girona. There is shuttle bus service running
to Barcelona main bus terminal at Estacio del Nord
and it costs around 12 Euros. The trip will take about
an hour.
Bercelona-Reus Airport is slightly more inaccessible.
To reach Barcelona city center, one has to take the
local bus to Reus station before taking the train
to one of the main train stations namely Sants or
Estacio de Franca depending on which part of the city
you are going. The whole trip will take about one
in a half hour and will cost about 8 Euros.
