Dia de Sant Jordi held on 23th of April is the day
held in honour of the patron saint of Catalonia. On
the festive day, Las
Ramblas becomes a street full of stalls selling
flowers and books.
Festival de Sonar held in mid June is a 4 day party
that involves technology fairs in the day and music
events by the night.
Festival de Sant Joan is when people in Barcelona
use fireworks to welcome summer on 23th July.
El Grec festival is held around June to August all
around the city and is the city largest music, dance
and theatre festival.
Festa Major de Gracia is a week long festival in
the streets of the Gracia neighbourhood in August
which involves heavy partying.
La Diada held on 11th of September is the national
day of Catalonia to remember those who died in the
War of Spanish Succession in 1714.
Festes de La Merce is a city wide party held on 24th
September. This is the main annual festival in Barcelona
and there will be plenty of music, fireworks and partying
going all around Barcelona.
