Barcelona is one of the most fashionable city in Europe.
From great bargains to extravagant buys, you are always
likely to find what you need.
Go to Passeig
de Gracia above Placa
Catalunya to rub shoulders with the high end fashion
elite in Barcelona. It is possible to find both Spanish
and foreign fashion brands along the street.
If you are more into busy shoppping malls with huge
variety of shopping goods to choose from, stumble
into Maremagnum
at Port Vell or Diagonal Mar at Avenida Diagonal.
Maremagnum opens for one of the longest hours everyday
while Diagonal Mar is one of the largst shopping cemter
in Barcelona city. Do check out the various El Corte
Ingles around the city as they are the largest and
most famous departmental stores in Spain. They usually
sell everything from food to fashion wares.
For up and coming designer labels, try chic boutiques
along El Born, Carrer del Rec or Carrer Portaferrisa.
Try not to purchase anything at the tourists shops
near Las Ramblas as they are tourists traps that do
not provide value for money souvenirs.
Lastly, bare in mind that most shops in Barcelona
open at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. to 9
p.m. from mondays to saturdays.
