Basilica de Santa
Maria del Mar
Located in the La Ribera district, this elegant and
imposing church of gothic origins was built in the
14th century. Complete with 15th century stained glass
windows and sculptures, this is one of the most beautiful
religious buildings in Barcelona other than La Sagrada
Familia and the Catherdral.
You can reach the Basilica via Placa del Santa Maria
del Mar. The Basilica will be open from 9.30 a.m.
to 1.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The nearest metro
station is Jaume I
