Font Magica

The Font Magica was a large musical fountain built in 1929 for the 1929 Universal Exhibition. It is located in between Palau National and Placa Espanya at the foot of the hill. The fountain was restored for the 1992 Olympic games. Today it attracts a large number of visitors for its display of water fountains and lights "dancing" to classical music. Each display lasts about 30 minutes and this majestic display is one of the "not to be miss" attraction of Barcelona.

The display of musical fountain is shown every half hourly between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on fridays and saturdays in winters (October to April). In summers (May to September), the display is shown every half hourly between 9.30 p.m. to 12 a.m. from thursdays to sundays. Admission is free.
