Fundacio Joan Miro
Fundacio Joan Miro or Joan Miro Foundation exhibits
a large collection of works by the well known modern
artist Joan Miro. As well as collections from Joan
Miro, the foundation also exhibits modern art from
aspiring young artists. The foundation is located
a short hike up the stairs near Palau National from
Placa d'Espanya.
To reach Fundacio Joan Miro, get off the nearest
metro stations at Espanya or the funicular station
at the top of Mount Montjuic and walk there. Alternatively
Take bus 50, 55 or 193 to reach the foundation. Entrance
fees is 8 Euros and the foundation opens at 10 a.m.
from tuesdays to sundays. The foundation closes at
7 p.m. from October to June and 8 p.m. from July to
September. The museum also opens till 2.30 p.m. on
sundays and public holidays. There is extended opening
hours till 9.30 p.m. on thursdays.
