Hospital de Sant Pau
Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Hospital of
the Holy Cross and Saint Paul) is a fully working
hospital that was designed by Catalan architect Lluis
Domenech i Montaner. It took 30 years to build from
1901 to 1930 and its bold and modernist designs have
resulted it being included as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site.
Sant Pau is open for guided visits in different languages
from mondays to sundays. The nearest metro station
is at Hospital Sant Pau and the hospital is a short
walk along Av Gaudi near Sagrada Familia. Entrance
is free although visitors are advised to keep their
volume down.
