Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya

 

Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya or MNAC is situated in the Palau Nacional (National Palace) which was buit for the 1929 International Exhibition. It is considered the leading art meseum for Catalunya Arts and was created in 1990 through a unification of the Museu d'Art de Catalunya and Museu d'Art Modern. MNAC features Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Modern art collections from a large number of famous artists. There is also an excellent view of the city from Palau Nacional.

MNAC can be easily accessed by the nearest metro station at Espanya and admission fees is 8.50 Euros with audioguides avaliable in different languages. The museum is opened at 10 a.m. from tuesdays to sundays and closes at 2.30 p.m. on sundays and 7 p.m. from tuesdays to saturdays.
