Pueblo Español
Pueblo Español (Spanish village) was built
for the 1929 International Exhibition and is supposed
to be a replica of a typical Spanish village. It was
kept as a tourist attraction and was renovated in
1988. There are many buildings representing different
architecture styles and culture from different parts
of Spain in the village. Many bars and restaurants
are also located there to cater to the visitors. The
village also houses Fundacion Fran Daurel, which features
modern and contemorary art from many Spanish and Catalan
artists.
Pueblo Español is located a short walk from
Placa d'Espanya
and can be reached via Espanya metro station. Admission
fee is 8.50 Euros and guided tours are avaliable.
Pueblo Español opens at 9 a.m. daily. It closes
at 8 p.m. on mondays, 2 p.m. from tuesdays to thursdays,
4 p.m. on fridays, 5 p.m. on saturdays and 12 a.m.
on sundays..
